Pin A Quote Lets You Highlight Any Text & Pin It To Pinterest

By Megan O’Neill at SocialTimes:
As Pinterest grows in popularity, the types of media that people want to be able to pin are expanding as well.  Pinning visual media like images and videos is great, but wouldn’t it be nice if you could pull a great quote from an article you were reading and pin it as well?  Pin A Quote makes this possible.

Created by Adam Rotman, Creative Web Strategist, Pin A Quote lets you highlight any text and pin it to Pinterest.  Pin A Quote turns the text into an image and you can share it with your friends and followers on Pinterest and beyond.

Rotman explains the inspiration behind Pin A Quote: “I recently saw that a lot of people were posting images of quotes to Pinterest.  So I started thinking it would be cool if people could highlight text anywhere on the web and make their own image-quotes from the text.  Once the image is created it can easily be shared.”
So how does it work?  It’s simple.  Head over to pinaquote.com and drag the ‘Pin A Quote’ bookmarklet to your bookmarks bar.  Once it’s there, you can highlight text on any website and then click the bookmarklet button to pin it.  Pin A Quote creates an image from the text and you can share it on any of your Pinterest boards and send it to Twitter or Facebook.
Check it out and let us know what you think.  Do you think you’ll be using Pin A Quote to pin your favorite quotes to Pinterest?
