Google+ To Open Its Doors To The Public On July 31

After a hugely successful limited field trial, in which it may have gained more than 18 million users, Google+ could be set to open its doors to the public on July 31.
The only way to gain access to Google+ right now is to grab an invite from another user or be given an invite by Google itself. However, Google+ could have its public launch before the end of the month.
A rumor that Google+ would have its public launch on July 31 originated on a Google+ Facebook Page. It is important to note, however, that this is not an official Google+ page as the 2 O’s in “Google” are zeroes in the URL, as pointed out by Business Insider.

So this report should be taken with a pinch of salt, but there could be some truth to it. Google+ has remained in a limited field trial so that Google can iron out any bugs in the system, but just about everything seems to have gone smoothly in the 3 weeks since it launched. There has been no notable downtime and the service has been able to scale its user base without any big hiccups. That could mean that Google is ready to open the floodgates and let everyone join.
