Lady Gaga Official YouTube channel been terminated

The Official Lady Gaga YouTube channel, ladygagaofficial, has been terminated, taking with it all of the episodes of the singer’s popular GagaVision web series.

When you try to visit the page, it is replaced with a message from YouTube that states, “YouTube account ladygagaofficial has been terminated because we received multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement from claimants including: Air Production.”

A Google search for ‘Air Production’ doesn’t readily turn up any results and we expect Gaga’s official YouTube account to return pretty quickly.  After all, she is one of the most-viewed YouTubers and has a good relationship with Google.
That being said, I think this is a good example of just how seriously YouTube takes copyright infringement.  Even someone as big as Lady Gaga is suffering at the hands of someone who has accused her of using content that is not rightfully hers.
I think we are all anxiously awaiting more information and the return of Lady Gaga’s official YouTube channel, complete with her popular GagaVision videos.  In the meantime, you can still watch Lady Gaga’s music videos on the Lady Gaga VEVO channel on YouTube.  Check out her latest and then scroll down to let us know what you think of the fact that her account has been terminated.  Was this an oversight by YouTube or do you think Gaga really is guilty of copyright infringement?  And even if she is, was terminating her account the appropriate course of action?
Update: Rumor has it that the reason Gaga’s account was suspended is that she uploaded her performance on the French television show Taratata without the permission of the production company–Air Productions.  If this is fact, it seems a little bit strange from my perspective that they would file this copyright claim–after all, isn’t having a video from your show on Lady Gaga’s official YouTube channel great promotion?  That being said, it looks like they may be getting even more publicity for getting Gaga’s account taken down.  What do you think?
Update: As of approximately 5:45AM EST on July 6, 2011, the Lady Gaga official YouTube account is back online.  According to French blog Pure Médias by Ozap, Air Productions claims that the claims were sent to YouTube in error and that they had contacted Google as well as Lady Gaga’s managers to clear things up.
